ESCANABA — The following individuals were recently bound over from Delta County District Court to circuit court in unrelated cases.

Terrance Roy-Jon Saunders, 37, of 324 N. 12th St., Escanaba, was bound over on two counts of police officer – assaulting/resisting/obstructing, a two-year felony with a maximum fine of $2,000, and one count of domestic violence, a 93-day misdemeanor with a maximum fine of $500. The charges stem from an incident that occurred on Oct. 22, 2019 in Escanaba. Saunders posted a 10 percent of $15,000 bond.

Marvin Brandon Mercier, 25, of 1315 Sheridan Road 2R, Escanaba, was bound over on one count of larceny in a building, a four-year felony with a maximum fine of $5,000, and two counts of police officer – assaulting/resisting/obstructing, a two-year felony with a maximum fine of $2,000. The charges stem from an incident that occurred on Sept. 20, 2019 in Escanaba. Bond was set at 10 percent of $25,000.

Jay Thomas McDonough, 50, of 711 Ludington St., Escanaba, was bound over on one count of controlled substance – possession/analogues, a two-year felony with a maximum fine of $2,000 and license sanctions unless sentenced to more than one year in prison. The charge stems from an incident that occurred on July 3, 2019 in Delta County. McDonough posted a 10 percent of $5,000 bond.

Ashlee Nicole Domire, 23, of 2005 5th Ave. N., Escanaba, was bound over on two counts of police officer – assaulting/resisting/obstructing, a two-year felony with a maximum fine of $2,000, and one count of retail fraud – third degree, a 93-day misdemeanor and a maximum fine of $500. The charges stem from an incident that occurred on Dec. 8, 2019 in Escanaba. Domire was released on a $150 personal recognizance bond.

Shellee Jo Soderstrom, 62, of 328 N. 15th St., Escanaba, was bound over in two cases. In the first case, Soderstrom was bound over on one count of controlled substance – possession of meth/ecstasy, a 10-year felony with a maximum fine of $15,000 and license sanctions unless sentenced to more than one year in prison. The charge stems from an incident that occurred on July 22, 2019 in Delta County. The bond was set at $25,000 cash/surety.

In the second case, Soderstrom was bound over on one count of controlled substance – delivery/manufacture (schedules one, two and three except marijuana, meth, ecstasy, and cocaine), a seven-year felony with a maximum fine of $10,000 and license sanctions unless sentenced to one or more years in prison. The charge stems from an incident that occurred on Sept. 24, 2018 in Escanaba. The bond was set at $15,000 cash/surety.

Donald G Lenzi, 58, of 8049 Garth Point Lane, Rapid River, was bound over on one count of weapons – firearms – possession by felon, a five-year felony with a maximum fine of $5,000 and mandatory forfeiture of weapon, and one count of weapons – ammunition – possession by felon, a five-year felony with a maximum fine of $5,000 and mandatory forfeiture. The charges stem from an incident that occurred on Dec. 17, 2019 in Masonville Township. The bond was set at 10 percent of $15,000.

Samuel Joseph Shalifoe, 46, of 1312 Yorkshire Lane, Round Rock, Texas, was bound over on one count of child support – failing to pay, a four-year felony with a maximum fine of $2,000. The charge stems from an incident spanning from March 1, 2016 to Oct. 1, 2017 in Escanaba. The bond was set at $5,744.04 cash.

Pablo Escobedo Martinez Jr., 33, of 305 Encino St., Gregory, Texas, was bound over on two counts of child support – failing to pay, a four-year felony with a maximum fine of $2,000. The charges stem from incidents spanning from Dec. 1, 2015 to Sept. 30, 2017 and Nov. 1, 2018 to Aug. 30, 2019 in Escanaba. Martinez Jr. posted a $3,757.24 cash bond.
