ESCANABA — Delta County Airport has found a new assistant airport manager. Delta County native Stephanie Porath has accepted the position, Airport Manager Andrea Nummilien announced in an email sent to local media outlets Thursday.

Porath was born and raised in Flat Rock, and currently lives in Escanaba. Her educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a minor in Accounting/Finance from Lake Superior State University and an associate’s degree in Business Administration from Bay College.

While working towards her bachelor’s degree, Porath gained experience working full-time at Besse Forest Products Group as a staff accountant over the past four years.

In the email, Nummilien expressed her confidence in Porath. “We are positive her skill set will allow her to step into this role and be an incredible asset to our county from day 1,” she said.
