Bay Sages plan Dec. 5 meeting

ESCANABA, — The next meeting of the Bay Sages will be held on Thursday, Dec. 5, at 10 a.m. at Bay College, Room 952 of the Joseph Heirman University Center.

The December meeting will feature David Williams, president of Upper Peninsula State Bank, on the topic about which he is passionate about preventing: Elder Financial Abuse. Williams indicates this exploitation is widespread and he will give information on how to detect it, where to get help and what to do to avoid becoming a victim. Personal and financial loss is significant and he will provide real life examples of what to look for as we manage our financial affairs with care and discretion

Members and guests are welcome to attend meetings of the Bay Sages, which is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting lifelong learning opportunities for older adults. Membership in the organization involves a fee and includes 11 monthly meetings, two of which are luncheon meetings, and monthly newsletters.
