Patio door is vandalized in Escanaba

ESCANABA — A patio door on a home on the 300 block of 7th Street in Escanaba was damaged by a BB gun recently, according to Escanaba Public Safety Department.

Officers were called to the home for a report of damage done to the patio door at 4:18 p.m. on Oct. 3.

Officers said markings were left on the door from someone shooting it with a BB gun.

Stolen items found by neighbor

ESCANABA — A backpack was taken from a truck parked on 11th Street in Escanaba Thursday.

Escanaba Public Safety officers were called to the 1100 block of 11 Street for a report of stolen property from a truck at 7:32 a.m. Thursday.

The owner told officers he noticed the truck door was open. He said there was $15 and racing gloves missing from the vehicle.

Later that day, a neighbor found all of the missing items in a backpack.
