More Amish signs reported stolen

CORNELL TOWNSHIP — Two more Amish signs were stolen in Cornell Township recently, according to Delta County Sheriff’s Office. Since the signs were installed this summer, four have been stolen.

The signs warn motorists slow, horse-drawn vehicles might be in the area.

The Delta County Road Commission reported two more Amish signs — posts and all — were taken from Cornell Township on Saturday, Sept. 21.

An employee of the road commission explained to deputies that they had just put new signs. Deputies noted the signs and posts were pulled out of the ground from three feet of concrete.

Value of the signs are $50 each, the posts are valued at $40 each and concrete with labor costs are $125 each.
