Lorne Watson Quintet concert at library

ESCANABA — The Escanaba Public Library invites the public to a concert with the Lorne Watson Quintet on Thursday, Sept. 26, at 6:30 p.m. This musical group is made up of local area musicians who will be playing a mix of original chamber and jazz music. The quintet includes Patrick Booth, on saxophone, Phil Lynch on piano, Harry South on bass, Dave Ziegner guitar and Lorne Watson on percussions.

‘We will be playing all original music and premiering two new pieces of mine,’ Lorne said, ‘One piece will allow the members of the band to improvise over percussion solo work.”

Overall, the evening will encompass a wide variety of sounds and musical genres created by UP artists.
