Amish traffic signs reported stolen

ESCANABA TOWNSHIP — Two Amish alert signs have been stolen off county roads in Delta County in recent weeks, according to authorities.

Delta County Sheriff’s Department was notified on Monday after a sign was stolen over the weekend from County 416 J Road in Escanaba Township.

Delta County Road Commission explained to deputies the sign was the second Amish alert sign taken.

The first sign was taken from County Road 426. The sign had initially been placed a month ago.

The value of the signs are $200 each. The road commission has to pay for replacing the signs.
