Delta County District Court Judge Steven Parks presents a $2,140 check to Robert VanDamme, board of trustees Chair of the Community Foundation for Delta County. “I’d like to thank the courts employees, Miranda Bowman, Mary Cowen and Emily DeSalvo for all their hard work and dedication involved in our highly successful Community Service Program. This program is very unique to the state in which people ordered to perform community service as part of their sentence make items that are sold and the proceeds donated to the community foundation,” Parks said, “We are grateful for the support and good citizenship Mike Dagenais and Elmer’s County Market showed in allowing us to sell the items in Elmer’s parking lot.” VanDamme thanked Parks and his employees for the donation and said, “The funds will be granted back into our community by the Community Foundation. The community foundation and I are proud of the district court for starting such a unique program to help people in our community in more than one way.”
