McBroom invites public input at hearing
LANSING — State Sen. Ed McBroom invites Upper Peninsula residents to participate in an upcoming hearing of the Senate Natural Resources Committee via remote teleconference on Wednesday, May 15, at 8:30 a.m. EDT.
The committee will discuss Senate Bill 37, which would reverse a Natural Resources Commission ban on baiting and feeding deer in the entire Lower Peninsula and could impact proposed DNR baiting and feeding regulations in the Upper Peninsula.
Additionally, senators will discuss the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community’s application to regulate water quality and air quality on the L’Anse Reservation.
