Tour bus, church building damaged in Escanaba fire
ESCANABA — A tour bus caught fire next to the New Life Church in Escanaba Thursday.
Escanaba Public Safety officers were dispatched to a fire at 2005 8th Ave. S. at 6:26 p.m.
The fire involved a tour bus parked in close proximity to the church building.
Officers were able to bring the fire under control quickly. However, the bus was a total loss and the building sustained minor damage.
There were no injuries.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Escanaba Public Safety was assisted by Delta County Dispatch and Gene’s Towing.
