Wild Ones host invasive species talk

ESCANABA — Wild Ones Central U.P. Chapter is hosting Elise Desjarlais, coordinator of the Lake to Lake Cooperative Invasive Species Management Area, for a presentation on invasive species in the Upper Peninsula. The organization’s work in limiting the impact of, and educating the public about, invasive species will also be covered. The event will take place at Bay College Heirman University Center room 963 at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 27. Anyone interested in invasive species management or Wild Ones mission of promoting native plant biodiversity is encouraged to attend.

Wild Ones is a national organization with the mission of promoting environmentally sound landscaping practices to preserve biodiversity through the preservation, restoration and establishment of native plant communities.
