ESCANABA — The City of Escanaba Water Department has replaced several water services on 3rd Avenue North. In preparation of new asphalt to be installed later this month, several gravel patches have been left in these areas.

“Issues beyond the means of the city have delayed the asphalt work from occurring. As a result, the water department will be diligent in maintaining these patches daily, in an attempt to make the roadway as bump and dust free as possible,” officials said in a press release.

Motorists should expect some delays and are asked to slow down near this work.
