Computer coding for teens at Esky library

ESCANABA — The Escanaba Public Library is celebrating “Teen Tech Week,” March 4 – 11 with a special workshop on computer coding for students in grades sixth through eighth. “Coding with Arduino” is scheduled for Tuesday, March 6, from 3:30 – 5 p.m. The class will feature hands-on experience in writing code and creating a project using Arduino, an open-source electronic prototyping platform that enables users to create interactive electronic objects. The instructor for the session will be Jean Montgomery, Information Technology Specialist with the Superiorland Library Cooperative. The class is free and all supplies will be provided. Participants may enter a drawing for a free Arduino kit. Space is limited and registration is required. Call 906-789-7328 to register.
