Menominee River Chorus to perform
MENOMINEE — “Terminal Jet Lag” is the show theme of this year’s annual production by the Menominee River Chorus, which begins at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Blesch Auditorium in Menominee.
The women’s chorus, under the direction of Ed Boehm, will be mixing acting with singing as they portray a group of travelers who are stranded in an airport trying to get home for Thanksgiving.
In addition to the Menominee River Chorus, also performing during the 17th annual show will be the 4 County Connection, a male quartet whose members are from Dodge, Marinette, Outagamie and Winnebago counties in Wisconsin.
Advance discounted tickets may be purchased in from Jack’s Fresh Market stores in Menominee and Marinette, the Peshtigo Pharmacy, or any chorus member. Tickets will also be available at the door prior to the show. Door prizes will be awarded at intermissoin.
The Menominee River Chorus is a group of women who love to sing four-part harmony barbershop style. The group performs for a variety of community and social events throughout the year and offers an annual music scholarship to graduating seniors in Marinette and Menominee counties.
The group meets Tuesday nights from 5:30-8 p.m. at Bethel Lutheran Church, 1309 14th Ave., Menominee. New members and guests are welcome.
