ESCANABA — A safe sitter class will be held on Saturday, April 29, 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the YMCA child care classroom. The curriculum is appropriate for the intellectual and emotional abilities of adolescents (must be 11). The curriculum is based on up-to-date information and injury prevention for specific age groups. The profound responsibility of nurturing and protecting children is emphasized to the adolescents. Cost is $66 for members, and $100 for non-membetrs. A pizza and juice snack will be provided.
