McCoy earns award from John Deere

DUBUQUE, Iowa - This autumn, John Deere Construction and Forestry Division recognized McCoy Construction & Forestry: Region One as a recipient of the 2026 Onyx Circle Award, an honor presented annually to a select group of John Deere dealerships that demonstrate outstanding operational performance, leadership, customer support and continuous improvement.
Region One consists of eight McCoy Construction and Forestry locations in northern Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, including in Escanaba at 6442 U.S. 2 and 41 and M-35. A smaller location in Marquette provides parts.
This was the third year the regional group earned a place in the Onyx Circle, placing them among the highest-performing John Deere Construction and Forestry dealerships in the network when factors like efficiency, parts availability, service and others were considered.
"Our success has always been rooted in a commitment to doing the right thing for our customers and supporting them at every stage of their business," said McCoy Construction & Forestry President Jeff Herkert. "Receiving this award for a third time reflects the exceptional service and support our teams provide every day, as well as the teamwork, accountability, and customer-first mindset that continue to set McCoy Construction & Forestry apart. This award really belongs to the teammates who earn it every day. We are grateful for the commitment they bring to our customers, coworkers, and company."
Other companies recognized with the Onyx Circle this year were 4Rivers Equipment, which is based in the American Southwest, and James River Equipment, which has locations in the middle-eastern part of the country.
McCoy Construction and Forestry -- a part of the McCoy Group, Inc. -- is a family-owned John Deere construction and forestry equipment dealer, with 25 locations in eight states. The company "continues to invest in its people, facilities, and service capabilities while maintaining a focus on helping customers succeed in the construction and forestry industries," a recent press release stated.
"Earning the Onyx Circle Award for a third time is a tremendous achievement for our organization," said Greg McCoy, president of McCoy Group.
