ESCANABA – Lake Superior State University graduate Allyson Lancour of Rockford has been named the Lukenda School of Business Outstanding Regional Center Student. Lancour was recognized during the annual honors dinner for outstanding graduates held on May 1, the evening before commencement, in Sault Ste. Marie.
The award honors a graduating senior who transferred into LSSU’s business program and is selected based on faculty recommendations and overall academic achievement.
“Allyson has a proven track record of excellence,” said Heidi Rife, LSSU regional center director. “She graduated from Bay College with her associate degree and was named Bay College’s 2023 Outstanding Business Student. In speaking with several of her former instructors, the same qualities consistently stood out: professional, polite, humble, and dependable – simply put, someone you would want to hire. As her advisor at LSSU, I was continually impressed by her quiet determination, strong work ethic, and commitment to her goals. She truly exemplifies what it means to be an outstanding regional center graduate.”
Lancour earned her bachelor’s degree in accounting through LSSU’s regional center at Bay College in Escanaba, graduating summa cum laude in December 2025. She is currently employed at a local accounting firm, where she began as an intern before receiving a full-time job offer.
