Welcome to Sweetgrass
ESCANABA — The Island Resort Championship Tournament Committee and the Delta County Chamber of Commerce proudly extend their warm welcome to golfers, volunteers, and spectators for the highly anticipated Island Resort Championship at Sweetgrass, taking later this month. With participants from all over the world, this Epson Tour event promises to be an international spectacle.
From June 21 to June 23, 156 players will grace the greens at Sweetgrass Golf Club, vying for victory and showcasing their exceptional skills. Tickets for the event are priced at $10 for a three-day pass and can be purchased at the main gate or through the Delta Chamber.
To ensure you have a memorable experience, we offer a few tips for enjoying the LPGA Epson Tour Tournament as a spectator. Upon arrival at the spectator entrance, your ticket stub will automatically enter you into raffle drawings held throughout the three-day event. Additionally, you will receive a pairing guide, a QR code providing access to player information, and a comprehensive list of the esteemed sponsors who make this world-class event possible. In the event that bleachers are at capacity, we encourage you to bring a portable “bag chair” for your comfort.
Throughout the tournament, a dedicated team of volunteers and staff members will be readily available to assist you with any inquiries or directions. The golf course boasts wide walking paths and designated viewing areas in the primary rough alongside each fairway, providing spectators with optimal vantage points.
Players will arrive at the course approximately one hour before their tee time, allowing you to witness their warm-up routines at the driving range and putting areas.
Tee times for the first wave will commence at approximately 7:30 a.m. on Friday and Saturday mornings, with groups of three teeing off every eleven minutes from both the first and tenth tee boxes. A second wave of tee times will begin at approximately 12:50 p.m. On Championship Sunday, the leading players will start teeing off at 7:30 a.m. from hole one.
While on the course, please refrain from accessing the tees, fairways, greens, and tall uncut grass areas.
Remain mindful of groups playing ahead, to the side, or behind you.
Maintain a safe distance and avoid making excessive noise or sudden movements that may distract players during their shots.
We anticipate an exhilarating tournament filled with exceptional golf and unforgettable moments. Thank you for joining us at the Island Resort Championship, where world-class talent converges with the beauty of Sweetgrass.
