Sears Hometown Store has new owners

ESCANABA — The Sears Hometown Store in Escanaba has new owners. Eric Welch and Roger Charles purchased the store at 322 N. Lincoln Road on Feb. 1.

Eric Welch – CEO of JackRabbit2020, Inc. is a business owner and entrepreneur. He is retired from the Air Force. and has degrees in psychology and criminal justice. He is also owner of the Sears Hometown Store in Sault Ste. Marie. He resides in Brimley with his partner Christine Stutzner and two children, Tyler, 17, and Madison, 15.

Roger Charles – COO of JackRabbit2020, Inc. was a Sears corporate service technician for a few years and has degrees in criminal justice, EMT, and robotics engineering, He is also owner of the Sears Hometown Store in Sault Ste. Marie. He lives in Brimley with his wife, Meghan Charles. They have been married for 10 years and have two children, Landon, 8, and Harper, 2.

The Sears Hometown Store carries home appliances, tools, and lawn and garden equipment. The store services all major brands – Kenmore, Maytag, Whirlpool, Kitchen Aid, Samsung, LG, GE and Husqvarna.

Services include delivery, carry in appliance and lawn/garden, repair service on site and warranty repair service.
