HARRIS — The Island Resort & Casino once again ranks among the best in the Native Midwest by Casino Player magazine, this time in a remarkable 24 categories that encompass the areas of gaming, hotel and resort amenities. The first, second and third place finishes honor the Island for hospitality excellence.

“Customer service has always been a top priority for us,” said Tony Mancilla, General Manager. “And this level of recognition tells us we are delivering a quality, enjoyable experience that our guests appreciate.”

First place honors awarded to the Island included promotions, video poker, live poker, and table games. Second place wins stayed focused on the gaming experience, including dealers, slot tournaments, bingo, poker and roulette, and included the designation: “Casino Where You Feel Luckiest.” Second place also went to the Island’s accommodations, including hotel staff, rooms, and saltwater pool.

And for the second year in a row, to The Drift Spa – proving to be a popular place for massages, facial treatments, manicures, pedicures and other salon services.

Rounding out the awards are seven third place finishes that include Best Golf Course: Sweetgrass Golf Club and summed up the guest experience with a “Best Overall Gaming Resort” and “Favorite Casino Resort to Vacation at.”

“We are always looking at ways to expand our offerings to make this a destination like no other in the Midwest,” said Mancilla. “And we’ve accomplished that, but we’re not done.
