ESCANABA — The COVID-19 pandemic of 2020 has forced most events that where scheduled to take place on the U.P. State Fairgrounds to cancel or postpone. One annual event that will not be disrupted by the pandemic is the fairgrounds winter storage event. The fairgrounds has ability to store hundreds of units like motorhomes, travel trailers, boats, personal watercraft and classic cars inside 12 barns that will keep your units out of the harsh winter elements and provide a secured place for your investment.

2020-2021 winter storage space rental contract have been sent out to all individuals who stored units on the fairgrounds last year. Those individuals have until Sept. 30 to return those contracts with payment in order to secure storage space. For contracts sent in after Sept. 30 or individuals who have not stored units on the fairgrounds before but wish to will be put on a waiting list and as space becomes available they will be notified and a date and time will be assigned for unit drop off. Drop off and pick up dates have been established for returning customers starting on Oct. 12 and pickup dates starting April 22 of 2021.
