Column: Businesses join Chamber of Commerce

ESCANABA — The Delta County Area Chamber of Commerce provides an avenue for our business people to play a leadership role in building a healthy, vibrant community. We are a partner to every community, every business, and every citizen.

When a business joins the Delta County Area Chamber of Commerce, they become part of a county-wide network of businesses that have come together to promote quality of life in our area through a healthy business climate. This type of network is more important than ever during these uncertain times.

During its regularly scheduled board meeting held on Aug. 13, the following businesses were presented and approved for membership by the Delta Chamber Board of Directors.

Jorasz Family Ranch, located at 5385 D Road, Bark River, MI 49807 is a family-owned farm in Michigan’s beautiful Upper Peninsula. Andy and Teri bought the property in 2005 and have been improving and growing the herd ever since. Andy is the fourth generation of Jorasz farmers in his family and benefits from a long farming heritage. Jorzaz Family Ranch is proud to be part of the Delta County Business community and joined the Chamber to highlight the richness our residents have available to them right here in Delta County. Andy & Teri look forward to helping show off how we shine in Escanaba and the surrounding areas

Rankin Taekwondo Academy, located at 701 South 38th Unit 39, Escanaba, MI 49829 offers an adaptive traditional Taekwondo class. Participants with a wide range of physical impairments are encouraged to join! The instructor is a member of the Para-Taekwondo National Team. The belts earned are transferable to any other legitimate taekwondo school and Kukkiwon Black Belts can be earned through this program. Students will be able to black belt test without any additional programs or fees. Competition and Demonstration opportunities are made available. Justin Rankin is excited to be a part of the business community within Delta County and looks forward to helping residents in our waterfront community.

SignUP Graphics & Printing of 1300 Ludington Street, Escanaba, MI 49829 is under new ownership. Owners Jesse and Tiffany Huff and Randy and Jean Malueg said they joined the Chamber, “to be part of the amazing team at the Chamber of Commerce while also working to develop strong business relationships, partner with event organizers and organizations and to be part of ensuring Delta County has a strong and vibrant business community.” SignUP offers an array of services including printing services, promotional productions, graphic design: logos, signage, custom apparel and personal protective equipment.

The Chamber takes pride in its membership whose specialties range from local retail, commercial and industrial businesses, as well as professionals and other citizens in Delta County and surrounding areas interested in the concepts of business development, community improvement, and cultural and environmental enhancement. We remain committed to doing all we can to support our Waterfront Community for years to come. For a complete membership listing or for information on how to become a member, visit deltami.org.
