Manistique auto dealership has new owners

MANISTIQUE — Brian Boucher and Greg Bink announce they have purchased the former Curran Chevrolet-Buick dealership in Manistique, which will immediately be known as TEAM Chevrolet-Buick Automotive. Existing Chevrolet, Buick, and GM customers can continue to receive the great service they’ve come to expect from this dealership, uninterrupted. TEAM Chevrolet-Buick Automotive is excited to be involved in the community and upcoming events for which Manistique is known, a press release stated.

“The former Curran Chevrolet-Buick Dealership in Manistique is one of the most established auto dealerships in the entire Upper Peninsula and we’re excited to build upon this legacy” said Bink. “The longtime Chevrolet, Buick, and GM customers of the Upper Peninsula have expected the pinnacle of service from this dealership and we’re excited to expand this level of expertise throughout Northern Michigan, Wisconsin, and beyond. For me it’s all about the relationships. When someone entrusts me with a vehicle purchase or service on their vehicle, my goal is to earn their lifetime business. I’m excited for the opportunity to have an ownership stake in a dealership to make sure the entire TEAM Chevrolet-Buick Automotive dealership embodies those same values.”

“We’re extremely passionate about the customer journey when it comes to automotive sales and service” said Boucher. “Greg Bink’s experience in the auto industry combined with the resources of GeePapa Enterprises will allow us to create something truly unique right here in the heart of Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Additionally, all of us at TEAM Chevrolet-Buick Automotive are passionate about creating local careers. When we look at the Upper Peninsula and how to keep people in the area, a career opportunity is key. I truly believe businesses like TEAM Chevrolet-Buick Automotive can make a difference. All our employees are valued members of their communities. If a person and their family stays in the U.P in part due to a career we provide, that’s a great thing for our local communities.”

Bink has been working in automotive sales and service for over 20 years. His longtime customer base reaches throughout the Upper Peninsula and Northern Wisconsin. He resides in the Upper Peninsula with wife Mary, daughters Kasey and Kristina, their husbands, and a new grandson, Hoyt, whom he is hoping to be the future third generation of TEAM Chevrolet-Buick Automotive.

Boucher is the owner and CEO of TEAM Wireless, Verizon Authorized Retailer, headquartered in Escanaba, with 51 locations across Michigan, Wisconsin and Illinois. He is also the president of GeePapa Enterprises in Escanaba, which encompasses TEAM Wireless, Beaver’s Land Management, and now TEAM Chevrolet-Buick Automotive in Manistique. He resides with his wife Sarah, two daughters, and a son in the Upper Peninsula.
