ESCANABA — Garceau Insurance welcomes Tom LaChance as a commercial lines specialist. LaChance will be responsible for developing new commercial opportunities and creating customized coverage solutions to the businesses in Michigan and Wisconsin.

LaChance earned a bachelor of science from Northern Michigan University. Prior to joining Garceau he worked for a major national insurance carrier and also had over 20 years in and retired from the paper manufacturing industry. LaChance retired at the rank of lieutenant colonel in 2014 having served in the U.S. Army between Reserve and active duty for 23 years in the U.S., Eastern Europe, Iraq and Afghanistan.

His service continues as a volunteer fireman and a trustee on the Baldwin Township Board. He is an active member of the Perkins Legion Post 540 and the Perkins Lions Club. “He is looking forward to providing service for your business in either Michigan or Wisconsin,” the company stated in a press release.
