ESCANABA — Harvard Business Review describes networking as a necessity in today’s world. They go on to explain, “A mountain of research shows that professional networks lead to more job and business opportunities, broader and deeper knowledge, improved capacity to innovate, faster advancement, and greater status and authority. Building and nurturing professional relationships also improves the quality of work and increases job satisfaction.” Although it may be common knowledge that networking is a key to business development, we sometimes need to be reminded that networking is a fun way of making advancements.
The chamber of commerce offers monthly ways to showcase local businesses and provide a platform for community engagement through Business After Hours. Aside from the monthly networking opportunity, the chamber facilitates numerous events sprinkled throughout the year to not only optimize your networking, but also keep annual dues manageable for your business. The upcoming event to invigorate your networking is the 26th Annual Chamber Golf Classic.
A day on the course allows for laughs to be shared and ideas to be exchanged. You don’t have to be a golf expert to enjoy this four-person scramble tournament. The day will be spent enjoying the great outdoors with unmatchable hospitality and fun twists to a classic game. The entertainment continues after the round of golf with dinner and an award ceremony.
