UPPER PENINSULA, Mich. - Limestone Financial Credit Union has announced it has secured the property and begun development on a new branch in Garden, Michigan.
The new branch will be located at 6364 State St., Garden, MI. The site is currently undergoing a full remodel to become Limestone FCU's permanent branch location. In their official release, Limestone FCU said this investment reflects their ongoing commitment to expanding its presence throughout the Upper Peninsula and their mission to expand access to financial services.
"Garden was a natural choice for Limestone FCU’s next branch location, allowing the credit union to more conveniently serve current and future members in the area," reads the release. "Members can look forward to the same exceptional service they have come to expect, delivered closer to home."
Once the new branch opens, members of the credit union can expect access to an ATM, personalized in-person support, financial education programs at the Big Bay de Noc School, community-focused initiatives, and more.
While the new branch is under construction, Limestone FCU will operate from a temporary location at Garden Grove Retreat & Lodging, located at 6411 State St., Garden, MI, in the first-floor guest room. This temporary operation will be open Tuesdays and Thursdays, beginning Oct. 6, 2026, through Nov. 26, 2026 -- although these dates are subject to change. Office hours will be 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
This temporary location will provide limited banking services. Despite this, Limestone FCU has expressed that they are pleased to begin serving the Garden community before construction on the permanent branch is complete.
Services available at the temporary location will include account opening, loan applications, small cash transactions -- larger transactions should be conducted at the main branch -- and check cashing.
Money orders, cashier's checks and instant debit card printing are services that will not be available at the temporary location.

The new branch will be led by Allie LaLonde, Branch Manager and Training and Development Lead. LaLonde brings several years of experience in the credit union industry and a strong commitment to member service. Her expertise and leadership will help support the financial needs of members, families, schools, and businesses throughout the Garden area.
