The Community Foundation for Delta County proudly
announces a new fund established at the community foundation
called Walter C. and Anna May Peters Scholarship Endowment
Fund.
The purpose of the fund shall be to provide an annual
scholarship to a Rapid River High School graduate who intends to
continue his/her education with preference given first to a
graduate attending Western Michigan University majoring in
Education; secondly to graduate attending Western Michigan
University in a field other than Education; thirdly to a graduate
attending Northern Michigan University majoring in Education or
finally to a graduate attending any other state university or
college and that graduate is going to continue their education in a
science curriculum that results in a BS. If no such graduate meets
the previous requirements, then the scholarship can be awarded at
the discretion of the Rapid River School Scholarship Committee.
