GLADSTONE – The 10th Annual US Log Rolling Open took place July 4 at Van Cleve Park as part of the City of Gladstone’s Independence Day celebration, bringing together many of the nation’s top professional log rollers and boom runners for a day of world-class competition.

The milestone event celebrated the tournament’s 10th anniversary while coinciding with the United States’ 250th anniversary and the 100th anniversary of Gladstone native Billy Girard’s 1926 World Log Rolling Championship.

In the Women’s Professional Log Rolling Championship, seven-time World Champion Livi Pappadopoulos of Holmen, Wisconsin defeated fellow Holmen native Aini Anderson to capture her eighth consecutive US Log Rolling Open championship and continue her undefeated 2026 season.

On the men’s side, two-time World Champion Tanner Hallett of Hermosa Beach, California defeated reigning World Champion Marcus Heineck of Weston, Wisconsin, three falls to one in the championship match to reclaim the US Log Rolling Open title for the first time since 2019.

Gladstone native Cole Bennetts delivered his strongest US Log Rolling Open performance to date, finishing sixth against one of the deepest professional fields assembled this season. Bennetts continues the community’s proud tradition of producing elite log rolling talent and gave hometown fans plenty to cheer for throughout the day.

The US Log Rolling Open extends its sincere appreciation to the City of Gladstone, event volunteers, sponsors, athletes, and spectators for helping make the 10th annual event a memorable success. Their continued support has established the tournament as one of the premier stops on the professional log rolling circuit.
