Deanna and Michael Coyne

DETROIT, Mich. — Deanna DiPonio became the bride of Michael Coyne during a 2 p.m. ceremony performed by Father Ryan Adams at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Detroit, Mich. on June 22.

Deanna’s parents are Dennis and Christine DiPonio from Livonia, Mich. and Michael’s parents are Jane Coyne-Smith and Scott Smith from Gladstone.

Michael graduated from Grand Valley State University with a degree in biomedical science in 2012. He is employed as a supply chain analyst with Gordon Food Service.

Deanna graduated from Grand Valley State University with a bachelor of science degree in psychology in 2012 and a master of education in school counseling in 2016. She is employed as a school counselor in the Grand Rapids Public Schools.

Deanna chose for her attendants maid of honor, her sister Jenna DiPonio; and the bridesmaids were the bride’s sister Marissa Daoud, the groom’s sisters Rachel and Kelly Coyne, the bride’s cousin Laura Fallat, and the bride’s friend Emiy Trybus. The flower girls were Selma and Isla Daoud, nieces of the bride, and Mika Taylor, the groom’s niece.

Michael chose his friend Niklas Ahola as best man; and groomsmen Chase Ruohomake, Matt Movalson, John Lafrinere, Josh Sargent and Hans Ahola, all friends of the groom. Ushers were Josh Coffman and Nate Malone, friends of the groom.

Following the ceremony, the couple and their families welcomed and entertained guests at a reception at the Lauel Manor Banquet and Conference Center in Livonia, Mich.

After a honeymoon trip to Tulum, Mexico, the couple is at home in Grand Rapids, Mich.
