Eric and Joye Clute

GLADSTONE — Joye Bengston became the bride of Eric Clute during a 4:30 p.m. ceremony performed by Steven Werss, friend of the couple at The Smokey Mountain Lake House Lodge in Dandridge, Tenn., on April 8, 2018.

Joye’s parents are Keith and Debbie Bengston of Gladstone, and Eric’s parents are Paul and Karen Clute of Louden Tenn.

Eric graduated from Wastenaw Community College with a degree in criminal justice. He is employed by Veteran’s Affairs.

Joye graduated from Kaplan University with degrees in forensic psychology and criminal justice. She is employed at the Salvation Army Community Housing Program.

Joye chose for her attendants, maid of honor, Andrea Couillard; and bridesmaids, Elyse Allard, Amanda Metzger, and Beth Querio. The junior bridesmaid was Kayden Lechtanski, daughter of the bride.

Eric chose best man, Roger Wils; and groomsmen, Eric Forge, Eric Thornberg and John Scott Munley. Groom’s “Manager” was Liam Clute, son of the groom.

A local reception was held to honor the newlyweds on Saturday, June 9 at the Lake Bluff Village Community Center, in Gladstone. After a honeymoon in the Smokey Mountains, the couple is at home in Ypsilanti, Mich.
