Remember when…?

A Nordic skier glides along atop the hill along Lake Shore Drive on Monday, Jan. 19, 1976.

Blanketed by freshly-fallen snow, conditions at the Ludington Park were ideal on the afternoon for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing in local competition for the U.P. Winter Olympics. A field of 25 skiers and snowshoers participated in this event.

Anyone with an interesting old photograph of local interest may submit it for publication. Although care will be taken with the historical item, the newspaper cannot guarantee its safety or return.
