GLADSTONE — The August Mattson American Legion Post 71 of Gladstone recently elected new officers for 2025-2026. Elections were held for the Legion, Sons of the American Legion and the Ladies Auxiliary unit.

For the Legion, elected officers are 1st Vice Commander Louie Lafluer, 2nd Vice Commander Dave Klein, Sergeant of Arms Rayno Tulppo, Commander Sandy Valdezate, Finance Mike Trekas, Adjutant Glenn Johnson, Chaplain Joe Hilton, and Executive Members Ron Trekas, Randy Walters and Lewis Carroll.

For the Sons of the American Legion, elected officers are 1st Vice Commander Bob Snowaert, 2nd Vice Commander Dennis Cole, Sergeant of Arms Ed Snowaert, Chaplain Jeff Ware, Commander Randy Bruntjens, Finance Steven Viau, and Membership John Pickard. The adjutant and historian positions are currently vacant.

For the Auxiliary, the elected officers are Auxiliary President Peggy Anderson, 1st Vice President Patty Lancour, 2nd Vice President Robin Godfrey, Secretary Karen Fleury, Sergeant of Arms Sue Gagnon, Chaplain Karen Husted, Treasurer Jeanette Mineau, and Executive Members Sharon Sinnaere, Darlene Couillard, Linda Gray and Robyn Godfrey.
