ESCANABA — The Friends of The Escanaba Library Annual Ice Cream Social is coming Wednesday, June 11.
The event will kick off with the annual used book sale in the foyer of city hall at 4 p.m. That sale will continue until 6 p.m., when cake and ice cream begin being served in the library garden. During the cake and ice cream portion of the evening, the Escanaba City Band will perform.
The event is also the kickoff to the Library Children’s Summer Reading Program. The theme this year is “Color Our World.”
Seating for the event is limited, so those attending are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs and blankets. In the event of inclement weather, the social will be moved inside the Library.
