GLADSTONE — The Gladstone Public Library, in collaboration with Peninsula Federal Credit Union, hosted a Summer Reading Kick-Off Story Hour. The event was held Wednesday, June 11 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Children ages two through ten and their families were invited to listen to guest readers from Peninsula Federal Credit Union. Participants were also able to sing along with a guest musician, Julie Aschbacher. A delicious snack, summer themed craft project and coloring pages were provided for participants as well. All children were able to take home a goody bag. Peninsula Federal Credit Union donated picture books and dictionaries for all children attending. Reading incentive prizes for this year’s summer reading program were donated by area businesses and clubs.
