Brat and burger sale Wednesday

ESCANABA — The Annual Veteran’s Picnic and Escanaba Football Wall of Fame will hold a brat and burger fundraiser on Wednesday, June 25 at 11 a.m. in the Halbinsel Parking lot, 200 N 30th Street, in Escanaba.

Event is sponsored by the Escanaba Quarterback Club.

Enhance Escanaba membership meeting

ESCANABA — Enhance Escanaba will hold its general membership meeting on Monday, June 23, at 6 p.m. The meeting will be held at Hereford & Hops at 624 Ludington Street in Escanaba.

The public is invited to attend. Items to be discussed include updates on projects, as well as sharing ideas on ways to Enhance Escanaba.

Community Blood Drive

NARFE to meet by Zoom

ESCANABA — The National Active and Retired Federal Employees (NARFE) Chapter 1900 will meet by Zoom only at 1 p.m., Wednesday, June 25.

Chapter members will receive the Zoom link by email. Members who are not on the chapter email distribution list and who want to receive the Zoom link and passcode should email narfe1900.scty@gmail.com.

Any active or retired federal employees are invited to attend NARFE meetings. Non-members are welcome as guests.

Dance in Rock

ROCK — A dance will be held at the Rock Community/Senior Center, located at 3892 West Mapleridge Road, on Sunday, July 13 from 1 to 4 p.m. Live music will be performed by Country Express. Free clothes closet sets hours

GLADSTONE — The Memorial United Methodist Church Clothes Closet is open Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The closet offers free clothes, coats and shoes for children, adults and in all sizes, including infant and plus sizes.

ESCANABA — Delta County veteran’s groups have announced their meeting schedule. Amvets meetings are held at the Amvet building and American Legion Post #71 – meetings are held at Gladstone Legion. All other military organizations listed meet at the Purple Heart building, 1202 Sheridan Road in Escanaba.

— American Legion Post #71 Gladstone – first Wednesday of month 6 p.m.

— American Legion Post #82 – first Tuesday of month 6 p.m.
