Rally set for June 14

ESCANABA — Delta County Unified, an Indivisible group, is holding a rally on June 14 from noon until 4 p.m. The “Flag and Country, Not Kings” rally will be held at the Karas Memorial Bandshell in Ludington Park. Guest speakers will be discussing topics ranging from county issues, education and library issues, veterans concerns, Native American concerns, immigration issues and more.

The afternoon will focus on the impact of President Donald Trump’s policies on the local community. Those attending are encouraged to bring a picnic lunch.

Gladstone library ­summer reading ­program­

GLADSTONE — The Gladstone Public Library’s summer reading program, “Color Our World,” will run from Monday, June 2 through Thursday, July 31. This program is open to children and young adults ages 2 to 18 years old.

The library kicks off their program with a summer story hour on Wednesday, June 11 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Children will enjoy stories, create a summer craft, eat a snack and receive a goody bag.

For more information call 906-428-4224 or stop by the library to register and pick up a reading log. This story hour and the summer reading program is sponsored by the Friends of the Gladstone Library, local clubs and area businesses.

Cemetery rummage sale

ESCANABA — Donations are now being sought for the 24th Annual Lakeview Cemetery Rummage Sale. Clothes, electronics or mattresses will not be accepted.

The sale will be held June 13 from 3 to 7 p.m. and June 14 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
