Escanaba Class of 1980 reunion July 12

ESCANABA — The Escanaba Class of 1980 reunion will be held July 12 at Pioneer Trail Park at 2 p.m. There is a $45 per person cost to attend.

The event will feature music, food, 50/50 raffles and more. BYOB.

Pasties in Rapid River

RAPID RIVER — Fresh pasties will be available at the St. Charles Borromeo parish center on Tuesday, May 20. Pickup will be from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Call 906-474-6606 early to order Memorial Day pasties and specify if you want plain or rutabaga.

Tacos and Trivia tonight

ESCANABA — St. Joseph & St. Patrick Parish, 709 1st Avenue South in Escanaba, will host its final night of Trivia and Tacos for the season on Saturday, May 10.

Teams of two to six players can register starting at 5 p.m. with the first round beginning at 5:30 p.m. Also available will be an all-you-can-eat taco/nacho bar. Cash prizes will be awarded for first, second, and third place teams.

The public is welcome and encouraged to attend.

Museum open Tuesday in honor of Mosenfelder

ESCANABA — The family of Clara Mosenfelder and the Board of Directors of the Delta County Historical Society will open the museum and archives on Tuesday, May 13, to celebrate Mosenfelder’s life and acknowledge her role in shaping the historical society.

From 1 until 4 p.m., friends are welcome to visit the museum exhibits she created and to enjoy some of her artwork. Light refreshments will be served.

Mosenfelder passed away on Jan. 21, less than a month before her 99th birthday. She was a founding member of the local chapter of The League of Women Voters, president of the Escanaba Area School Board, and president of the Delta County Historical Society.

She was instrumental in restoring and preserving the Sand Point Lighthouse. In addition, she was a talented and generous artist and teacher.
