Loans available for Gladstone alumni

GLADSTONE — The Gladstone Scholarship and Student Loan Foundation will be awarding interest-free $2,500 loans to the Gladstone High School graduates pursuing further education for the 2025-2026 academic year.

Alumni may receive up to four annual loans during their lifetimes. Applications are now available in the high school office. The deadline for submission is June 6. Both parent and student signatures are required on the forms.

St. Anthony of Padua raffle winner named

ESCANABA — The winner of April 28 St. Anthony of Padua calendar raffle is James Crawford of Escanaba. Crawford won the weekly prize of $100.

Tickets are now available for the June 2025-May 2026 calendar raffle. They may be purchased at St. Thomas Parish office, located at 1820 N 9th Ave., during normal business hours, 9 a.m. to noon and 12:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Gladstone Class of 1976 reunion meeting

GLADSTONE — Gladstone Class of 1976 holding a first reunion meeting on Thursday, May 8 at 5 p.m. at the Saloon in Gladstone.

Pasty sale May 7 and 8

ESCANABA — St. Thomas Church will be selling pasties on May 7 and 8 from 3 to 5 p.m. There will be no early sales. Pasties will be available with of without rutabaga.

This will be the church’s last pasty sale until September.
