Craft sale at senior ­center Saturday

GLADSTONE — The Gladstone Senior Citizens NP Corp. will hold its second annual Craft & Bake Sale on Saturday, Oct. 26, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Gladstone Senior Center, 303 N. 8th St. in Gladstone.

Admission is $2, with ages 12 and under admitted free. Door prize drawings will be held at 3 p.m. — need not be present to win.

Crafters can secure space and reserve tables on a first-come-first serve basis by calling Pat at 906-825-8006 or by picking up a form at the Gladstone Senior Center, 303 N. 8th St. in Gladstone.

Donations of baked goods are also being sought for the bake sale.

All proceeds from this event are to benefit the Gladstone Senior Center building.

Colorado Yoopers ­s­­upport Eskymos

LAKEWOOD, Colo. — On Sept. 22, 80 people from the state of Colorado had a Sunday picnic and raised money for repairs of the Escanaba football stadium through the nonprofit Eskymo Fan Club, eskymofanclub.org.

Gifts and prizes for the picnic were supplied by Gladstone Mobile, Eco Fuels Gifts, and Sign-Up Gifts of Escanaba. Pasties were bought and supplied by the Pasty Oven.

Those in attendance served a dish and talked about the U.P.

A total of $1,000 will be donated this year and the group plans to continue to help nonprofits each and every year.

Hunters Breakfast planned in Rock

ROCK — The Rock Lions will hold an all you can eat “Hunters Breakfast” buffet on Sunday, Nov. 17 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The meal is open to the public.

The Rock Lions Club is a non-profit service organization that provides funding for charitable organizations and local needs, located at 14454 M-35 in Rock.
