U.P. Tri-County MEA-R to meet at Bay Oct. 15
ESCANABA — U.P. Tri-County MEA-R Chapter will hold a meeting on Tuesday, Oct. 15 at 10 a.m. (EST) at Bay College, Conference Room SC525, located behind Cafe Bay in the Student Services Building, parking lot D. Light refreshments will be served.
MEA-R Secretary/Treasurer Jeanne Hansen will be the guest speaker, discussing the upcoming election and Project 2025.
If able, members are asked to bring an unwrapped toy to donate to Toys for Tots.
Any interested retired or current MEA member may attend. Members are encouraged to invite a friend.
Event for Pregnancy Services set for Nov. 14
HARRIS — Indulge After Dark, a night to benefit Pregnancy Services, will be held Thursday, Nov. 14, 5 to 8:30 p.m. EST at the Island Resort and Casino. Tickets on sale at Dress Up and Lisa Ann.
Tickets include a taco buffet, drink ticket, shopping with vendors, pampering, photo booth, and a fashion show.
MARSP meeting Oct. 10
CARBONDALE — The Menominee County Chapter of the Michigan Association of Retired School Personnel (MARSP) will meet on Thursday, Oct. 10, at the Little Nugget Clubhouse on East County Rd. 338 in Carbondale. Registration begins at 11:30 a.m. Central time.
The luncheon will be served at noon Central time followed by the program and a short business meeting. The luncheon will be a harvest dinner, for a cost of $14. The program will presented by Cheryl Goc from UPCAP. She will speak on “Food as Medicine.”
Members are asked to bring nonperishable food items to be donated to the Mid-County Food Pantry.
