MANISTIQUE — The Highway 2 Community Drive-In Theater is set to hold its seventh annual Labor Day movie event on Saturday with a free double feature screening of “Top Gun” and “Top Gun: Maverick.”

The gates open at 7 p.m., with “Top Gun” scheduled to begin at 9 p.m. and “Top Gun: Maverick” scheduled to begin at around 11:10 p.m.

Admission to the event is free, courtesy of Amy Jo Tetzner Barrett Financial Group, the event’s sponsor, and concessions are available at the drive-in.

“The only place you can get a movie experience like this is at a drive-in, and we’re the only one up here,” said event organizers in a news release. “It’s more than just watching a movie. Of course, there is also the good feeling that comes with supporting the concession operators … and where else can you get an experience like this for free?”
