Benefit for Bob Meyers
ESCANABA TOWNSHIP — A spaghetti dinner benefit for Bob and Kaye Meyers will be held at the Escanaba Township Hall (Flat Rock) on Aug. 10 from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. A $10 donation is requested.
Bob has been diagnosed with lung cancer and funds raised are to be used for medical and travel expenses. There will be bucket raffles, silent auctions and a 50/50 raffle.
Learn to Fly Day
ESCANABA — The Bay Area R/C Club is holding a Learn to Fly Day on Saturday, July 27 from 12 to 6 p.m. Learn to fly remote control model airplanes at no risk or charge, using our dual control systems. Bay Area R/C Flying Club field is located six miles west of Escanaba and four miles north of Hyde on County Road 521/533. Follow signs to field.

Genealogical Society to meet Monday at Bay
ESCANABA — The next meeting of the Delta County Genealogical Society is Monday, July 22, at 5 p.m. in room 961 of the Joseph Heirman University Center Building at Bay College. Bring your stories, research problems, and other items to the meeting. The group is planning to update its indexes and needs input.

Blueberry Festival
ISABELLA — The Blueberry Festival will be held at the Isabella Community Hall on Sunday, July 28 from 1 to 4 p.m. The hall is located at Highway US 2 and County Road 495/LL Road.
Available will be blueberry pie, cobbler, and buckle with ice cream. Also available will be music, basket raffles, 50/50 and a bake sale.
