GLADSTONE — August Mattson American Legion Post 71 held a Flag Day Dignified Disposal of Unserviceable Flags Ceremony on June 14, at the Delta County Veterans Park. Sandy Valdezate, Legion Post 71 Commander, presided over the ceremony, along with the Sons of the American Legion and the Ladies Auxiliary. The ceremony was performed to bring proper respect to disposing of American Flags.

Post 71 would like to thank the community for bringing their flags to the ceremony and attending, and to those who participated in the ceremony.

Old flags can be dropped off anytime at the American Legion. Outside the building, there is a receptacle that looks like a mail box where flags can be left.

Starting at $3.50/week.
