GLADSTONE — Zone 5 Commander Ray Carlson, 11th District Commander Tom Chernetski and Alternate 11th District Commander Mark Maida traveled to Gladstone to conduct the elections and induct the executive board for American Legion Post 71 on May 13. The new board is excited for the coming year to help out its fellow veterans in the community. The new executive board members are Commander-Sandy Valdezate; 1st Vice-Commander-Steve Johnson; Finance Officer-Tom Quinn, Chaplain-Joe Hilton; and board members Ivan Gagne, Randy Walter, Ron Trekas, Lewis Carroll and Glenn Johnson.

Other veterans are needed to fill the positions of adjutant and historian. There are also eight different committees that need chairs/leads for them to be a success. If you are an eligible veteran for Legion membership or a current Legion member, please get involved. There must be a full executive board at the Legion level to be able to have an Auxiliary, Sons of the Legion and Riders.
