Rotary Club offers scholarship to Delta County seniors

ESCANABA — In May 2024, the Rotary Club 2642 of Escanaba will award four $1,000 scholarships to seniors graduating from schools in Delta County. Applications must be postmarked by April 1 to be considered.

“p1″>Application forms are available on the Escanaba Rotary Club’s website, www.escanabarotary.org. A brief essay is required on the Rotary Club motto of “Service Above Self.” Students are asked to share how they have practiced this principle and how their future plans will continue this ideal for them self and engage others in this objective. The completed application and essay should be mailed to Escanaba Rotary Club, Attn.: Scholarship Committee, P.O. Box 821, Escanaba, MI 49829. Students also have the option to email their applications.

The scholarship is paid in two $500 installments. Students must be enrolled full time (12 or more credits) in a university, college, or technical school the fall and winter semesters following graduation to be eligible. Accommodation can be made for 5th year/middle college students. Scholarship recipients must provide both proof of successful completion of their fall semester college courses and proof of winder semester enrollment to receive the full scholarship award.
