MARSP luncheon
MANISTIQUE -- MARSP members will hold their luncheon on Wednesday, Jan. 10 at the 40 Bar and Grill at 100 S 2nd St., in Manistique. Time to socialize will begin at 11:30 a.m., followed by lunch at noon.
Vice President of the MARSP Board of Directors Donald O. Johnson will be the speaker. Retired school personnel from Eastern Delta and Schoolcraft counties are welcome to attend.

Rapid River Relic Ride
RAPID RIVER -- The Rapid River Relic Ride registration will take place Friday, Jan. 26 from 9 a.m. to noon. The ride will take place at noon. The show will be held Saturday, Jan. 27, starting at 9a.m.
Each Wednesday up until the ride, meetings will be held at the clubhouse at 6:30 p.m.
Steam Engine Authority to meet Monday
GLADSTONE -- The Gladstone Michigan Soo Line Steam Engine #730 Authority will hold its regular monthly meeting on Monday, Jan. 8 at 4:30 p.m. at 921 Delta Avenue, the Downtown #730 Station and Museum Welcome Center building in Gladstone. New members are encouraged to join.
Agenda items to be discussed include the update on the state incorporation process of the authority. Volunteers are also needed to take down the Christmas lights on the engine.
We are looking for curators to catalog the Gladstone history and display our Soo Line Railroad history in our museum. Artifacts are still being accepted by donation or consignment.
Regular hours of operation will be planned for the Gladstone Downtown Welcome Center.
St. Thomas pasty sale
ESCANABA -- The St. Thomas pasty sale will be held Jan. 17 and 18. Plain or rutabaga. Pick up will be both days from 3 to 5 p.m. at the parish hall. No pre-orders are necessary.

Escanaba Indian Ed meeting Monday
ESCANABA -- Escanaba Schools Title VI Indian Ed Parent Committee Open Meeting will take place on Monday, Jan. 8 at 5:15 p.m. in the Upper Elementary building's teacher's lounge, located on the second floor. All are welcome.
