No Taco Tuesday

GLADSTONE — American Legion Post 71 of Gladstone will not have taco’s for the next two weeks, Dec. 26 and Jan. 9. Tacos will return Tuesday, Jan. 9.

Pasty sale planned

ESCANABA — St. Thomas will be holding a pasty sale on Jan. 10 and 11. Pasties will be available with or without rutabaga. No pre-orders are needed. Pick up is at St. Thomas Church from 3 to 5 p.m.

Lighthouse open house

ESCANABA — Residents and holiday visitors are cordially invited to enjoy an old-fashioned Christmas celebration in the Sand Point Lighthouse.

The lighthouse will be open on Tuesday and Wednesday, the two days after Christmas, for the annual Open House at the Lighthouse. Guests are invited to enjoy cookies and hot beverages in the lighthouse and to tour the Delta County Historical Society Beaumier Museum from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m., each day.

The free annual event is sponsored by the DCHS Board of Directors as a thank you to the community for its support of the society’s mission to preserve Delta County history.

Wells Lions Club raffle winner named

WELLS — The winner of the Wells Lions Club 52-week raffle for Dec. 18 is Laverne Paul, of Wells, who won $100. This was week 20 of the raffle.

Dance in Rock

ROCK — A dance will be held at the Rock Community/Senior Center, located at 3892 W. Mapleridge Rd., on Sunday, Jan. 14 from 1 to 4 p.m. The dance will feature the music of John Roman and the High Graders.

There is a door cost and free will donation lunch will be available.

For more information, call Lucy at 356-6459. All proceeds benefit the senior corporation.

Democrats to meet

ESCANABA — The Delta Dems will meet Wednesday, Jan. 3 from 7 to 8 p.m. at the USW Hall, 1201 Sheridan Road, Escanaba. Social time begins at 6:30 p.m. For more information, contact us at deltademsmi@gmail.com.

Steak feed Dec. 28

GLADSTONE — American Legion Post 71, of Gladstone, will be hosting a steak feed on Thursday, Dec. 28. The public is welcome.
