Jingle Bell Sock Hop
ESCANABA -- The Northern Lights YMCA will be hosting the 2023 Jingle Bell Sock Hop on Saturday, Dec. 16 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the YMCA gymnasium, located at 2000 North 30th St., in Escanaba. The event is for children in kindergarten through third grade and costs $8 for members or $12 for the general public.
Kids should be sure to wear their most festive socks while they bop, jump, and jam to the sound of a DJ and participate in fun activities. A pizza dinner will also be provided.

GFWC Charity Ball
ESCANABA -- The GFWC-Escanaba Women's Club will host their 73rd Annual Charity Ball on Saturday, Dec. 2. The event will be held at the Highland Golf Club.
Social hour will begin at 5:30 p.m. Dueling Pianos group will be the entertainment.
Tickets are $75 and available at the Escanaba branch of U.P. State Bank or by messaging the GFWC-Escanaba Women's Club on Facebook.
Annual Forest Service retirees' luncheon
RAPID RIVER -- The annual Forest Service Retirees' lunch will be held on Thursday, Dec. 7, at 11:30 a.m. at Jack's Restaurant in Rapid River.
In lieu of the White Elephant Exchange, retirees are asked to bring non-perishable food for the St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry. RSVP to Pat at 906-280-2772 if you plan to attend.
Delta Dems to meet
