Alternative Giving Bazaar

GLADSTONE — Memorial United Methodist Church in Gladstone is hosting an “Alternative Giving Bazaar.” This is an opportunity to think out of the box for your holiday giving.

All “gifts” purchased at this event will support a local, national or international non-profits. The bazaar will be held Saturday, Nov. 25, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Coffee and cinnamon rolls and a light lunch of soup, roll and drink will be available for purchase.

Venison dinner in Perkins

PERKINS — Perkins Legion and Auxiliary Post 540 will host its annual Venison Feed Dinner at Perkins Lions/Legion Hall 6 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 2. A bucket raffle will also be held.

Jingle Bell Sock Hop

ESCANABA — The Northern Lights YMCA will be hosting the 2023 Jingle Bell Sock Hop on Saturday, Dec. 16 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the YMCA gymnasium, located at 2000 North 30th St., in Escanaba. The event is for children in kindergarten through third grade and costs $8 for members or $12 for the general public.

Kids should be sure to wear their most festive socks while they bop, jump, and jam to the sound of a DJ and participate in fun activities. A pizza dinner will also be provided.

Delta Dems to meet

ESCANABA — The Delta Dems will meet Wednesday, Dec. 6 from 7 to 8 p.m. at the USW Hall, 1201 Sheridan Road, Escanaba. Social time begins at 6:30 p.m. For more information, email deltademsmi@gmail.com.
