Wells Lions Club raffle winner named
WELLS -- The winner of the Wells Lions Club 52-week raffle for the week of Nov. 13 is Dale Koepp of Escanaba, who won $100. This was week 15 of the raffle.
Hunters Ball in Perkins
PERKINS -- The Perkins Lions Club will host its annual Hunters Ball on Saturday, Nov. 18 from 7 p.m. to midnight. There will be a DJ, dancing, a raffle and drinks.
All-you-can-eat breakfast
GLADSTONE -- American Legion Post 71 of Gladstone will be hosting an all-you-can-eat breakfast on Sunday, Nov. 19 from 9 a.m. to noon.
The post also will be hosting a steak feed on Thursday, Nov. 30 from 4 to 7 p.m.
The public is welcome at both meals.
Event to support homeless at Bonifas
ESCANABA -- A special event in honor of Homeless Awareness Month will take place at the Bonifas Arts Center on Nov. 17.
The event, which is being held in conjunction with the Menominee – Deltas – Schoolcraft Community Action Agency, will take place between 6 and 8:30 p.m. In addition to a short presentation, the evening will include music by Phil Lunch and Guy Leffel and light refreshments. Donations collected at the door will support the homeless of Delta County.
Cancer Alliance drawing
ESCANABA -- The community is invited to attend the 2023 Delta County Cancer Alliance holiday raffle drawing, where one lucky person will win $1,000.
The event will be held Sunday, Nov. 19 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Escanaba Elks Lodge, 510 Ludington Street. The drawing will be held at 6 p.m. and tickets will be available until 5:55 p.m.
The night will also feature a sloppy joe dinner, available for purchase. Only 150 people, the capacity of the Elks Club, will be allowed to attend.
Lights for steam engine
GLADSTONE -- The Gladstone Michigan Soo Line Steam Engine #730 Authority is seeking donations of Christmas Lights and Decorations again this year. Lights can be dropped off in Gladstone at 921 Delta Ave or they can be picked up by calling John at 906-241-0888. Thank you for your support.
